The CortiSlim Lifestyle Approach to Exercise

Exercise and Weight Management

Did you know that only one in four U.S. adults get the recommended amount of daily exercise, which is 30 minutes of moderate activity on most days of the week, or 20 minutes of vigorous activity three days per week? Know what's even more alarming? One in every three Americans says they don't exercise at all. The reasons? According to some experts, it's high-stress jobs and an abundance of sedentary activities like watching television and surfing the Internet.* If you're like most of us, starting a new exercise program can seem like a lot work. It's easier to curl up at home with your favorite TV show after a long day than dragging yourself to the gym.

Regular exercise, a well-balanced diet and supplementation with CortiSlim may all help manage stress and make losing weight easier, so it's important to incorporate regular exercise into your daily routine. Cortisol may play a role in craving "comfort" foods, overeating, feeling fatigued, and storing excess body fat. Accumulation of excess fat can be damaging to your health, leading to an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. (D. Reynolds. Stress, Cortisol, and Weight Gain: Hormonal Response Can Cause Weight Loss Failure, 2007)

Consult Your Physician or Healthcare Provider

Depending on your age and whether you have certain cardiovascular risk factors and/or medical conditions, you may need to visit your physician before starting an exercise program. If you have chest pain, feel faint or light-headed, or become extremely out of breath while exercising or performing any physical activity, stop the activity at once and tell your doctor as soon as possible.
